I never, ever thought I’d write about Alan Cutler and Erin Andrews in the same post. Never.
But things happen. Radio friends of Cutler’s decide to harass EA with an intern named Chuges. Doesn’t this story just sound better and better? It’s all true.
Yes, after Andrews agreed to appear on Cutler’s radio show, she didn’t answer her phone for interviews. Twice. So one of Cutler’s radio friends in Cincinnati decided to try his luck. This friend’s name is “Mo”. He has an intern named Chuges. Do you understand why this is crazy yet? Anyway… All Chuges got was a good chewing out after waaaay too much calls to Andrews, by the pretty lady herself.
Now, if you don’t know who Alan Cutler is, let me explain. He’s best known as one of the sports guys at Channel 18, WLEX, in Lexington. He also has a radio show. Don’t ask me where you can listen to such a show… I would never listen.
Mr. Cutler also has his own set of answers that are given by Billy Gillispie at press conferences. These answers were always reserved for Mr. Cutler. The answers: maybe, maybe not. You can tell he was popular, can’t you?
You see, these guys forgot rule number one about ESPN personalities: they are only allowed to be on ESPN radio. Yes, it’s a rule ESPN laid down last year in hopes of promoting their ESPN radio brand. I know this, because I worked for a radio station last year that switched from ESPN radio to Sporting News radio mid-summer. And we learned the hard way about ESPN personalities.
So while Mo and Chuges say they will swear of Andrews, I will never. Because she wasn’t in the wrong. People get stiffed on the radio all the time… and Andrews was probably not in the mood to hear the same 7 questions every radio host asks her.
Sorry Alan. You must have known you never had a chance when you decided this was going to be your website.
